"The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD." Isa 11:2

When you have received the Spirit of revelation, don't think you already know everything. He has still so much to give you. Only when you have the Spirit of revelation, can you have the Spirit of understanding.

The Lord is delighted when we say, "Lord, I don't know how. Teach me." in every aspect of our lives--studies, work, decisions, understanding the word of God. Like Solomon who asked for wisdom, the Lord loves to hear this prayer. He doesn't like us to say, "God, you just step aside, watch me do the work."

Most of the pain in our lives is caused by the wrong decisions we have made, based on our own foolish counsel. Counsel will help you make right decisions. "Discretion will preserve you; understanding will keep you." Prov 2:11

In all your decisions, have you honoured Him? Have you asked Him, or have you made decisions on your own, thinking you already know everything?

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." Joshua 1:8

If you want God to give you the the Spirit of the Lord--Spirit of wisdom; understanding; counsel; might; knowledge; fear of the Lord-- and yet you do not read the word of God, how can you make the right decisions? If you do not meditate on the word of God, how will you appreciate whatever God gives you?

This is how you will find wisdom. And when you have done Prov 2:1-4, then you will get Prov 2:5. Incline your ears to wisdom.

And find the knowledge of God.

The Word of God-- Read. Study. Memorize. Meditate. Apply.
