Why did the people of God have to climb the mountain when they wanted to find Him?
The climb is hard, as the air gets really thin, and it's hard to breathe.
But when you stand at the summit, all pain-staking efforts taken would have been worth it.
The view from up high is breath-taking.
Mountains are majestic. That is how we describe God too.
God wants us to climb the mountain to meet Him.
It requires much effort. It is not something that we can do so casually, without much effort.
But when you reach the top, you see everything from His eye view.
Every thing is so small and insignificant from up there.
But it all adds up together, and it is a beautiful sight.
Beautiful.
You can never understand that kind of feeling until you have climbed the mountain yourself.
The beauty that grips your heart and makes you stand in awe of Him who made them.
The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.
1 Kings 19:11
So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.
Genesis 22:14
And God said, "I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain."
Exodus 3:12
The LORD descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up.

Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
