Captivate my heart, dear Jesus
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
Proverbs 10:5
Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the idle person will suffer hunger.
Proverbs 19:15
Ants, frail as they are, yet they prepare their food in the summer.
Proverbs 30:24
Be hard-working like the ant, though the ant is tired and it has been roaming long around for food, it still continues hunting for it. The ant does not give up so easily.
You are going for solid food now, it is not so easily found, you have to search for it, unlike manna which was previously rained at your doorstep. You have to hunt for it.
Anyone who lives on milk (placed at doorstep), being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.
But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, ... God permitting, we will do so.
It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the Word of God and the powers of the coming age.
if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
Land that drinks in the
rain (refreshing from God) often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. But land that produces
thorns and thistles (due to lack of rain, adapted itself to the conditions) is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned. We do not want you to become
lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Hebrews 5:13-14, 6:1-8,12
Forgive me, Lord, that I have been lazy. I desire to have more of You, yet I'm too lazy to spend more time with You. My spirit is willing but my flesh is weak. Help me, God! I want to be Your friend, like Adam when He walked with you in the cool of the garden. I will spend more time with You. *Don't be lazy!*How long will you lie there, you lazybones? When will you wake up? A
little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—-then
poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.
Proverbs 6:9-11
