The Lord is my light and my salvation
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
The Lord is my strength and my shield
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.
The Lord is their strength,
And He is the saving refuge of His anointed.
My heart pants, my strength fails me
As for the light of my eyes, it also has gone from me
A horse is a vain hope for safety
Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.
But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord
He is their strength in the time of trouble.
